This series also maps my consumer habits: my time on media can lead to more projects and purchases, as well as influences my thoughts.

Consuming:
What I want:
More nanoleaf lights? A wi-fi control for my mini-split? I am so spoiled and broke I am out of options. Yet, I still dream…

Jet 12″ Helical Head Planer / Jointer Combo (The helical heads add about $1,000 onto the price, but from what I hear they are amazing and really worth it.)
What I got:

Onieda Supercell (5hp dust collection)
This has been on the wish list for at least 6 months. Big purchase, but it should help with dust and therefore with health.

Bosch cordless router (12 v)
I looked into the Festool trim router, but it seems to be built mostly for laminate trimming, and I don’t do much of that. And it is expensive.

A Teleprompter to help with the podcasts… since really they are video casts.

Buildout:
Office is functional with some fun perks: astro-turf courtesy of several art shows.
I got my “wood storage” wall in place with some Bora Wood Organization racks. And I installed the Onieda Supercell, which was more problematic than you would have thought due to a manufacturing error.
I built a bar out of Cherry Wood with a maple strip down the center. (Cherry darkens over time, so the maple should become more pronounced as it ages.) Next is to build a window for this area that can open by lifting on struts.
