Aug-Sept 2022: Consuming and Producing

Aug-Sept 2022

A list of books, audiobooks, podcasts, television, and more that I am consuming.
A list of achievements, articles, or plans in the shop to showcase my production.

This series also maps my consumer habits: my time on media can lead to more projects and purchases, as well as influences my thoughts.

Consuming:

What I want:

Nothing? A new truck? I don’t know.

How about any company that can ship me a toilet bowl without breaking it? Or a mini-split that doesn’t leak refrigerant?

What I got:

  • Leigh Dovetail Jig D42R
  • Wera adjustable wrenches
  • Woodpecker Thin Rip Guide
  • Woodpecker Auto Align Drill Guide
  • Sony a6400 (my company wants the company camera back, a Sony a 7 II, so I need to replace it for streaming/video/photo work.)
  • Solar Cells on the Roof of the Shop

Tech stuff

I had a hell of a month resetting the internet, then getting the bridged wifi back into action, while having mine and my wife’s mini-splits go out.

Lately my nanoleaf lights have a fauty controller.

What I produced:

Podcasts:

Art Stuff

Wrote an article

Still working on little art shields.

DIY Stuff

Built 3 mobile walls for Oak Cliff Cultural Center

Plumbed my bathroom, rented a ditch witch, had lots of problems, overcame them.

Turned my ‘brick’ table top into a sink.

Drywalled part of the shop for an art wall.

Took a trip to Lubbock for family. Is that DIY?

Other Life Events

Sue Anne had her birthday party.

I am now on anti-depressants.
